G&C Septic Tank Service
This website is a modified version of the Office premium WordPress theme. It enables the staff at G&C to upload pictures, change services and staff, and post and update information that everyone with a septic system needs to know, all without having to call a webmaster to get it done.
This is a responsive design that automatically formats to the size of the device used, from a full-sized monitor to a cell phone. When you are viewing it on your computer grab the edge of your browser and re-size it and watch how all the elements automatically adjust to the width of your browser. If you’re geeky like me you’ll get a kick out of it.
Richland Collision Services
After looking at several auto body shop websites I concluded they tended to be too wordy and too busy; trying to cram too much information into a small space. What RCS needed was a minimalist design that focused on their strong point, the beautiful classic car restoration jobs they have done. I provided just enough text for the tireless Google spiders to find but not too much for busy people. I let the pictures do more of the talking.
Studies have shown that when viewing a website the eye naturally follows an “F” pattern so this site is laid out in that manner to make it easier to surf.
This website is a fairly extensive adaptation of the Co-Porlio premium WordPress theme and is adaptive to any size viewing device.
“Just A Simple Website” – Legacy Lawn & Landscape
Second in a soon-to-be long line of websites I’m calling, “Just A Simple Website”. I would normally charge $800 for a site like this but since Legacy’s previous website was a WordPress site converting this one to a new theme was a lot easier than starting from scratch so was able to do it for $400. I tell people WordPress will save you money down the road when you want to do a major overhaul of your site and this is one example of how so.
Nathan came to me first for SEO services but his old site had been poorly designed and I was not able to work on SEO for him without upgrading. As of this time I have not started SEO work but will be getting him ranked soon.
This site is based on the Local Business Pro Responsive theme.
Northwest Restoration had grown to be one of the top restoration companies in the Tri-Cities but it’s website which had been designed in-house had not been keeping pace with their company growth. Incorporating their branding into the site I gave them a fresh and up-to-date look in a fully responsive website that simply gets to the point without a lot of fuss.
This site and its sister site for their sister company Asbestos Mold Solutions are based on the Nova responsive premium WordPress theme.
Kirbyworks Painting (under construction)
This is my first attempt at building a website. My goal was to make it the best painter’s website on the internet. An ambitious goal for my first time at the rodeo I know but that’s how you learn to excel. As such it is taking longer than other websites and is still under construction.
My aim is to have a resource site that do-it-yourselfers can go to for tips and information. If I can engage them and keep them coming back then when they decide painting their own home is too much work I’ll be the first painter they think of. Once I have painted their house I aim to keep them engaged by giving them a way to post before and after pictures of their house or I can post them for them. I haven’t seen this on any other painter’s website so maybe this will start a trend.
This site was also built from the free Responsive WordPress theme. Getting all those colored blocks in the header to squish in as the browser gets narrower was a lot of work but sure was fun.
