It’s great having a painting business because I can pose as a painter needing a website and/or SEO. I talked to a gentleman from Deluxe, the people who probably make most of your checks. I would like to take this opportunity to compare what Deluxe has to offer to what Kirbyworks has to offer.
Deluxe Is 10 Times More Expensive!
They offered me a website with a blog for $3300 for the first year and $2160 per year after that. After 10 years that adds up to $22,740. Yikes! I can build you a website for $2400, about 10% of what Deluxe charges.
Deluxe Does Not Guarantee Google Page 1
Kirbyworks Does Not Lock You In To A Contract
Deluxe locks you in to an annual contract in which they will charge you $275 per month for 6 months regardless if you like their service or not and then after the six months they will charge you half that rate if you want to opt out and take your website some place else. You will be charged anywhere from $2475 to $3162.50 depending on at what point you want to bail out on them.
Kirbyworks, on the other hand, charges you $1200 up front to build you your website, $600 to get started on Search Engine Optimization after you have approved your website, and then another $600 only after we get your website to Google page 1 for organic ranking. That’s $2400 to get you to Google page one compared with a minimum of $2475 regardless if they can get you to Google page 1 or not. As you have heard me say before, what’s the point in having a nice website if nobody can find it?
Deluxe Will Only Give You 10 Pages For Their Price
Kirbyworks will build you as many pages as makes sense for the type of business you have. So far I have 46 pages for G&C Septic, 52 pages for Richland Collision Services, and 173 pages for my own website, and that number continues to climb as I add more pages. More pages means more content for Google to find and put in front of your potential customers.
Deluxe Will Only Give You 3 Mobile Pages
Kirbyworks will make ALL of your pages mobile so that the growing population of mobile users, which is now the majority of internet surfers, will have access to everything you have to offer. Furthermore, your Kirbyworks website will always be optimized for every size device on the market, now and in the future, without having to make any changes to adapt it to what companies like Apple will come up with in the future. Deluxe uses technology that is so 2000’s while Kirbyworks builds your site to be what’s called “responsive,” meaning it adapts to the size of the screen of your device without having to be coded to detect what device you are actually using. Responsive design works on all pages built for that website, even the ones you build. You don’t have to know any HTML coding to do this.
Kirbyworks Gives You A Beautiful Premium WordPress Theme
Deluxe websites aren’t bad, but they aren’t great either. Check out some of the gorgeous themes that we can customize for your business here.
Kirbyworks Gives You A Full Content Management System
Deluxe will only add a blogging page if you ask them. It is essentially a static website in which you will have to contact them to make any changes, even to swap out a picture. With your Kirbyworks website you will be able to upload an unlimited number of pictures, add or change your specials, add video, even add pages if you want, and you can even become a blogging maniac! Of course if you would rather have us do that we can take care of that for you but at least you will have the option to get an idea and take care of it right then without having to contact our office.
Kirbyworks Brings The Power Of Open Source To You
Tired of having to call your webmaster or hire a web developer to add a simple function to your website like a contact form or picture slider? WordPress has evolved into the most popular blogging platform and one of the most popular website platforms, all with the idea that none of it is copy-written. What that means for you is there are tens of thousands of web developers around the globe who are contributing pieces of programming called widgets that anyone can install – even a non-geek – usually for free. If you see something on another website that you want on yours chances are there is a free WordPress widget out there able to do just what you want.
WordPress developers are constantly providing the latest innovations for the millions of WordPress users. Being an open source platform ensures you can keep your website up to date for as long as you own it. Deluxe websites, on the other hand, will require you to pay $600 each and every year you want them to maintain and update your website, or $2160 per year to also maintain your search engine rankings.
Just Need A Website Without Optimization?
Deluxe can do that for $2040 for the first year and then $600 per year after that. Kirbyworks can do the same for $1200 and then about $70 per year for a hosting plan through WebHostingHub.com.
I would say Kirbyworks has the big boys beat by a long-shot. The only thing we don’t have is a big name everyone knows like Deluxe, though some have confused us for a famous vacuum cleaner company. That’s not a bad thing I suppose. If you’ve owned a Kirby you know they are the best. A Kirby really sucks!
